Director of Sales - US Wholesale

NEW YORK, NY

J.FOLD is seeking a director of US wholesale sales to help manage our growth as we add categories of bags including computer bags, travel bags, and men's shoulder bags.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This person will be responsible for:

  • Building and managing a team of regional multi-line sales reps.
  • Managing the ordering process for all US retailers to maintain a high level of satisfaction with the ordering and fulfillment processes.
  • Building close relationships with NY retailers and important national accounts.
  • Developing and managing the processes for setting sales goals, measuring performance, and identifying and pursuing opportunities.
  • Managing J. FOLD's attendance at several trade shows annually.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • We are considering candidates that have helped to manage the sales of a fast growing brand or (category within an established brand).
  • This position will be the most senior sales position and will need to be a self starter that can show progress quickly in terms of sales and/or the development of business processes to drive sales.
  • Candidates must have 2+ years senior sales experience including planning and management.
  • Experience managing a sales team is essential. Experience building a team is also a plus.
  • Candidates should have relationships with boutiques and large accounts.
  • Candidates that also have relationships with multi-line reps are preferred.

A small amount of domestic travel is required for trade shows. We offer a competitive compensation package and a casual work environment in our studio in downtown Manhattan.
